Muslims themselves are responsible for their present precarious condition
because they have failed to follow the teachings of the Holy Quran. The
Holy Quran is a Book for all ages and times and it addresses the entire
human race. It is the law for security and justice on earth. The Holy
Quran, which was revealed to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), talks
about messages spread by all prophets. We believe in all divine religions
and we never differentiate among prophets because they were all sent to
establish justice on earth and Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is no
exception. The Muslims are responsible for their present plight but, at
the same time, I think that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
Islam, through ages, has been a victim of campaigns set to destroy its
people and faith. However, as the belief in God and the adherence to the
teachings of the Holy Book was strong among Muslims, they have been able
to overcome many crises.
The Glorious Qur'an remains the guide for Muslims to the right path. A
lack of unity among Muslims and their neglect for Allah's message that
urged them be a strong nation, was the cause for their present problems.
Allah says: "And hold fast, all of you together,
to the Rope of Allah (i.e. this Qur'an), and be not divided among
yourselves, and remember Allah's Favor on you, for you were enemies one to
another but He joined your hearts together, so that by His Grace, you
became brethren (in Islamic Faith), and you were on the brink of a pit of
Fire, and He saved you from it. Thus Allah makes His Ayat (proofs,
evidences, verses lessons, signs, revelations, etc.,) clear to you, that
you may be guided."
The deviation of Muslims from their religion and their sinful actions have
given others a chance to hit them hard. Muslims have done injustice to
their religion by not following its teachings and not following its
injunctions in their daily lives. The issue is nothing but justice and
belief in the Day of Judgment.
When we believe that we will be held accountable for our each and every
action, we will be more careful, and avoid sins and will treat others with
fairness and justice. Muslims need nothing but greater integration to
spread justice.
The duty of Muslims is to spread safety and peace in the world. This could
be achieved only by observing the injunctions of the Holy Quran, which
does not just tells stories of bygone times and nations, but shows the way
to nations of today and to generations to come. The Holy Quran, as a
miracle, has guided the believers to light and has provided answers to
everything, including recent scientific inventions and discoveries.
All the answers we need are there for the people to read, understand and
benefit from. The Holy Quran is the source of strength for Muslims. They
should go to the Quran in order to regain their power and the world's
respect, because no one likes or respects the weak.
